I think a lot of foodie people are aware of the tv network TLC and me and my friend tricia (from chubby sunny on her blog and youtube) is very aware of it. So when TLC Southeast Asia Announced on their Facebook Account that they will have their annual TLC Food Festival again in the Philippines, i went to my computer informed tricia and started registration, so that i could go to the said event and get their freebies! After a long wait.... Viola!
I got my invite! My very first food event!
On the day of the said event we really thought we would end up being very early to get freebies, but sad to say a lot of people lined up and camped the day before the TLC fest event because almost all of the attendees are anxiously waiting to meet Buddy Valastro AKA "The Cake Boss". We started lining up around 8 or 9 am and the line was so long we waited for around 2-3 hrs just to get in the event, and boy we we're already tired the event didn't even start yet.
So since there we're a lot of lines for the food stalls on tlc fest we decided to try and eat at Sariwon Korean Barbecue Restaurant.
TLC Fest had a lot things to offer they had a new gourmet and craft skills at the TLC Kitchen, and Japan’s Origami Workshops and Japanese Calligraphy studio. Art jam at the TLC Gallery, sing your hearts out at Japan’s Karaoke Booth. You can also indulge yourself in their Food fairs or sections from different countries in the world including our very own Filipino food fair and Larong Pinoy. You could also step right into New York’s Times Square, soak in its hustle and bustle, and grab a bite from the USA Food Trucks. The entertainment on the main stage was the Filipino band Apartel of rock icon Ely Buendia,
as well as cooking demos, talent appearances and stage games led by The very funny comedian and host, Eri Neeman.
After going around, we decided to go and make some cupcakes, well technically just decorate cupcakes but its okay though because c'mon we could play around and be creative with our cupcakes and after that we could post it on social media and have it printed for free thanks to https://www.facebook.com/instaroid.ph/
I was so happy that i got to have a remembrance for my first ever event and just getting a polaroid photo is okay for me its a big thumbs upp!!! :)
You wouldn't really end up getting bored because they really had a lot of entertainment and well Eri Neeman was quite an entertaining host, After a few hours a lot of people got really anxious and excited because the last person to be introduced is non other than The Cake Boss. Honestly everything went crazy, crazy meaning the crowd was wild we didn't get to go home early because we couldn't get out, if you would watch my Vlog on the TLC Fest, you will see on the last part of the video how crowded the event was and how turned up the people were when they saw Buddy Valastro AKA "The Cake Boss"
So yes we survived and honestly it was a great experience, it was my first time and i can't wait to attend more events like this and meet new people, So TLC fest 2016 thank you for a great experience and see you next year for more crazy food festival shenanigans.
